Save Our Schools America (SOSA) was formed in 2021 by Karen Moran, an educator, community activist, wife, mother, and grandmother. SOSA was formed to educate and inform stakeholders of the adverse effects the current direction the public education system has taken. This was exposed and became apparent to parents, grandparents, and citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic as students were forced into remote learning.
We desire that every parent should have a choice on curriculum that is selected, and that every child receive strong skills in reading, writing and math. True and accurate history of our country is needed without prejudice to any race. SOSA is against teaching Critical Race Theory (CRT)* and dismantling of our countries fundamental structures including the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Our goal is to awaken and equip parents and citizens to bring change by attending school board meetings, running for office, and supporting true American History.

*CRT is a racist ideology that states all white people are inherently racist and oppressive. This toxic ideology moved from academia into corporations, schools, media, and government including the military. This was done under the auspices of promoting diversity and inclusion, and eradicating racism. Another term used often is equity. The Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) being taught in schools is a chief agent of this ideology.
